Green energy is any energy type that is generated from natural resources, such as sunlight, wind or water. It often comes from renewable energy sources although there are some differences between renewable and green energy. These energy resources don’t harm the environment through factors such as releasing greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere.
The seven common forms of green energy:
1. Solar Power
2. Hydropower
3. Wind Power
4. Geothermal Energy
5. Biomass
6. Biofuels
7. Nuclear
Green energy is important for the environment as it replaces the negative effects of fossil fuels with more environmentally-friendly alternatives.
Green energy has the capacity to replace fossil fuels. Easily-reached fossil resources begin to run out, and the cost of this type of energy will increase.
Efficiency in green energy is slightly dependent on location.
In this moment, renewable energy sources for which I managed to find a clear reference system are currently ranked as follows in efficiency:
- Wind Power
- Geothermal
- Hydropower
- Nuclear
- Solar Power
Green energy looks set to be part of the future of the world, offering a cleaner alternative to many of today’s energy sources.
European Union priorities 2019-2024
The EU set a number of priorities that shape the political and policy agenda until 2024. They serve to address the main challenges faced by the EU and EU nationals.
One of the priorities is to build a climate-neutral, green, fair and social Europe. In achieving this we must invest in green initiatives that improve air and water quality, promote sustainable agriculture and preserve environmental systems and biodiversity. We need a faster transition to renewables and energy efficiency, while reducing the EU’s dependency on outside energy sources through investments in a sustainable energy future for Europe.
This will showcase our legal management programme for the design, manufacture, financing and distribution of green energy components.
